You will need to be able to read and write and have have some IT skills.
What is the qualification
This is the YMCA Awards L3 Pilates Diploma course. This course will give you all the skills to instruct safe and effective sessions. The focal point is on the classical 34 Pilates exercises. This course also explores variations, modification and adaptations that can improve core, stability and balance. You will be taught communication and teaching skills.

How will I be assessed.
How do I book?
To achieve the qualification you must complete and pass the following:-

Multiple choice theory paper
Anatomy and Physiology paper.
Worksheets.
Client interview.
Overview of client goals.
Overview of a 12 week progressive class plan.
Observed practical Assessment teaching a Group of participants (6-12 participants)
Session and Self Evaluation.

How to I pay?
Payment is either in full or you can pay a deposit and 3 monthly instalments.

Face to face learning.

You can take the Diploma in Teaching Mat Pilates, accredited by the YMCA as a blended programme. The theory can be done online with practical modules face to face, The face to face is delivered over 3 weekends at our location currently at the Llantwit Fardre studio, South Wales.
These face to face teaching days will give you that rounded hands on experience of working with the Pilates Method and other students.

Online learning.
​
You can take the Diploma in Teaching Mat Pilates accredited by YMCA as a full online programme. Your theory is online and you are required to take part in practical sessions which will be held over zoom.
Your exams can be done online, however your practical assessment can either be done face to face at the studio in Llantwit Fardre, South Wales or alternatively the assessment can be delivered live over zoom.
You can study at your own pace and still benefit from workshops for the practical. A great cost effective option with ongoing support.
YMCA Awards Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates (Practitioner)
This qualifications comprises of 6 mandatory units:-

Applied Anatomy and physiology

Providing a positive customer experience in the exercise environment

Lifestyle management and health awareness

Principles of planning and delivering group exercise

Principles and fundamentals of Pilates Plan and deliver a Pilates session.

All units must be achieved for the full qualification.
Learning Pathway

Once you have enrolled onto the course you will be provided with your learning resources.

You will be given login details via email for your YMCA learning resource.

You will be given access to the anatomy and physiology which is online learning.

Dates will be sent for scheduled training day for teaching practice and working towards your teaching assessment.

You will work through your e learning and complete any online modules.

You will put together a 12 week progressive session which will need to be passed by your tutor.

You will then deliver you 12th week either face to face or via zoom.(6-12 participants) ID is required just to make sure it is you that is delivering this session.

Once everything has been passed you and payment has been made you will be awarded you certificate this will be sent to you in the post.
